निराशीर्यतचितात्मा त्यक्तसर्वपरिग्रहः | शरीरं केवलं कर्म कुर्वन्नाप्नोति किल्बिषम् ॥२१॥
Hindi Translation
जिसका अन्तःकरण और इन्द्रियों के सहित शरीर जीता हुआ है और जिसने समस्त भोगों की सामग्री का परित्याग कर दिया है, ऐसा आशारहित पुरुष केवल शरीर-सम्बन्धी कर्म करता हुआ भी पाप को नहीं प्राप्त होता ॥२१॥
English Translation
Having subdued his mind and body, and given up all objects of enjoyment, and free from craving; he who performs sheer bodily actions, does not incur sin. (21)

यदृच्छालाभसंतुष्टो दन्दातीतो विमत्सरः | समः सिद्धावसिद्धो च कृत्वापि न निवर्तते || २२ ||
Hindi Translation
जिसमें ईर्ष्या का सर्वथा अभाव हो गया है, जो हर्ष-शोक आदि दन्द्रों से सर्वथा अतीत हो गया है—ऐसा सिद्ध और असिद्धि में सम रहने वाला कर्मयोगी कर्म करता हुआ भी उनसे नहीं बँधता।
English Translation
The Karmayogi, who is contented with whatever is got unsought, is free from jealousy and has transcended all pairs of opposites (like joy and grief), and is balanced in success and failure, is not bound by his action. (22)

गतसंगस्य मुक्तस्य ज्ञानावस्थितचेतसः | यज्ञायाचरतः कर्म समग्रं प्रविलीयते || २३ ||
Hindi Translation
जिसकी आसक्ति सर्वथा नष्ट हो गयी है, जो देहाभिमान और ममता से रहित हो गया है, जिसका चित निरन्तर परमात्मा के ज्ञान में स्थित रहता है—ऐसे केवल यज्ञ सम्पादन के लिये कर्म करने वाले मनुष्य के सम्पूर्ण कर्म भलीभाँति विलीन हो जाते हैं।
English Translation
All his actions melt away, who is free from attachment, whose mind is established in knowledge, and who performs actions for the sake of sacrifice. (23)

ब्रम्हार्पणं ब्रम्ह हविर्ब्रम्हाग्नो ब्रम्हणा हुतम् | ब्रम्भैव तेन गन्तव्यं ब्रम्हकर्मसमाधिना || २४ ||
Hindi Translation
जिस यज्ञ में अर्पण अर्थात् सुगंध आदि भी ब्रह्म है और हवन किये जाने योग्य द्रव्य भी ब्रह्म हैं तथा ब्रह्मरूप कर्ता के द्वारा ब्रह्मरूप अग्नि में आहुति देना रूप क्रिया भी ब्रह्म है—उस ब्रह्म कर्म में स्थित रहने वाले योगी द्वारा प्राप्त किये जाने योग्य फल भी ब्रह्म ही हैं ॥२४॥
English Translation
In the practice of seeing Brahma everywhere as a form of sacrifice Brahma is the ladle (with which the oblation is poured into the fire, etc.,); Brahma, again, is the oblation; Brahma is the fire, Brahma itself

देवमेवापरे यज्ञं योगिनः पर्युपासते । ब्रह्मानावपरे यज्ञं यज्ञेनैवोपजुह्वति ॥२५॥
Hindi Translation
दूसरे योगीजन देवताओं के पूजन रूप यज्ञ का ही भलीभाँति अनुष्ठान किया करते हैं और अन्य योगीजन परब्रह्म परमात्मा रूप अग्नि में अभेद दर्शन रूप यज्ञ के द्वारा ही आत्म रूप यज्ञ का हवन किया करते हैं ॥२५॥
English Translation
Other yogis duly offer sacrifice only in the shape of worship to gods. Others pour into the fire of Brahma the very sacrifice in the shape of the self through the sacrifice known as the perception of identity.

श्रोत्रादीनीन्द्रियाण्यने संममात्मिनु जुह्वहि । शब्दादीविषयान्य इन्द्रियाणिनु जुह्वति ॥२६॥
Hindi Translation
प्रसंग - इस प्रकार देवयज्ञ और अभेददर्शन रूप यज्ञ का वर्णन करने के अन्तर्गत अब इन्द्रिय संयम रूप यज्ञ का और विषय हवन रूप का वर्णन करते हैं -
English Translation
Offer the sacrifice of the senses, beginning with the ears, to the self alone. Offer the sacrifice of the objects of the senses, beginning with sound, to the senses themselves.

सर्वणीनिन्द्रियकर्माणि प्राणकर्माणि चापरे। आत्सयंयमयोगान्नो जुह्वति ज्ञानदीपते ॥ २७ ॥
Hindi Translation
दूसरे योगीजन इन्द्रियों की सम्पूर्ण क्रियाओं को और प्राणों की समस्त क्रियाओं को ज्ञान से प्रकाशित आत्म संयम योग रूप अग्नि में हवन किया करते हैं ॥ २७ ॥
English Translation
Others sacrifice all the functions of their senses and the functions of the vital airs into the fire of Yoga in the shape of self-control, kindled by wisdom.

द्रव्यज्ञास्तपोयज्ञा योगयज्ञास्तथापरे । स्वाध्यायज्ञानयज्ञाश्च यतयः सौंशितत्रता: ॥ २८ ॥
Hindi Translation
कई पुरुष द्रव्य सम्बन्धी यज्ञ करने वाले हैं, कितने ही तपस्या रूप यज्ञ करने वाले हैं तथा दूसरे कितने ही योग रूप यज्ञ करने वाले हैं और कितने ही अहिंसादि तीव्रं व्रतों से युक्त यलशील पुरुष स्वाध्याय रूप ज्ञान यज्ञ करने वाले हैं ॥ २८ ॥
English Translation
Some perform sacrifice with material possessions; some offer sacrifice in the shape of austerities; others sacrifice through the practice of Yoga; while some striving souls, observing austere vows, perform sacrifice in the shape of wisdom through the study of sacred texts.

अपाने जुह्वति प्राणं प्राणेऽपानं तथापरे। प्राणापानगती रुद्ध्वा प्राणायामपरायणाः॥२९॥
Hindi Translation
दूसरे कितने ही योगी जन अपानवायु में प्राणवायु को हवन करते हैं, वैसे ही अन्य योगीजन प्राणवायु में अपानवायु को हवन करते हैं तथा अन्य कितने ही नियमपूर्वक आहार करने वाले प्राणायाम परायण पुरुष प्राण और अपान की गति को रोककर प्राणों को प्राणों में ही हवन किया करते हैं॥ २९॥
English Translation
Other yogis offer the act of exhalation into that of inhalation even; so others, the act of inhalation into that of exhalation. There are still others given to the practice of Pranayama (breath-control), who having regulated their diet and controlled the processes of exhalation and inhalation both pour their vital airs into the vital airs themselves. (29)

अपरे नियताहाराः प्राणान्प्राणेषु जुह्वति। सर्वेऽप्येते यज्ञविदो यज्ञक्षपितकल्मषाः॥३०॥
Hindi Translation
ये सभी साधक यज्ञों द्वारा पापों का नाश कर देने वाले और यज्ञों को जानने वाले हैं॥ ३०॥
English Translation
All these are knowers of sacrifice, whose sins are destroyed by sacrifice. (30)
