Sanskrit
अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तु मामश्रितम् | परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम् ॥११॥
Hindi Translation
मेरे परमभाव को न जानने वाले मूढ़ लोग मनुष्य का शरीर धारण करने वाले मुझ सम्पूर्ण भूतों के महान् ईश्वर को तुच्छ समझते हैं अर्थात् अपनी योग माया से संसार के उद्धार के लिये मनुष्य रूप में विचरते हुए मुझ परमेश्वर को साधारण मनुष्य मानते हैं ॥११॥
English Translation
Fools, not knowing My supreme nature, think low of Me, the Overlord of the entire creation, who have put on the human semblance. (That is to say, they take Me, who have appeared in human garb through My Yogamaya for the deliverance of the world, for an ordinary mortal).

मोहाश्च मोक्षकर्माणो मोहज्ञाना विचेतसः | राक्षसीमासुरीं चैव प्रकृतिं मोहिनीं श्रिताः ॥१२॥
Hindi Translation
वे व्यर्थ आशा, व्यर्थ कर्म और व्यर्थ ज्ञान वाले विक्षिप्त चित् अज्ञानीजन राक्षसी, आसुरी और मोहिनी प्रकृति को ही धारण किये रहते हैं ॥१२॥
English Translation
Those who have deluded minds, engaged in fruitless hopes, fruitless actions, and fruitless knowledge, are attached to the demonic, demoniac, and deluding modes of nature.

महात्मानस्तु मां पार्थ देवीं प्रकृतिमाश्रिताः | भजन्त्यनन्यमनसो ज्ञात्वा भूतादिमव्ययम् ॥१३॥
Hindi Translation
परंतु हे कुम्ती पुत्र ! देवी प्रकृति के आश्रित महात्मा जन मुझ को सब भूतों का सनातन कारण और नाशरहित अक्षर स्वरूप जानकर अनन्य मन से युक्त होकर निरन्तर भजते हैं ॥१३॥
English Translation
On the other hand, Arjuna, great souls who have embraced the divine nature, knowing Me as the prime source of all lives and the imperishable eternal, worship Me constantly with none else in mind.

सततं कीर्तयन्तो मां यतन्तश्च दृढव्रताः । नमस्यन्तश्च मां भक्त्या नित्ययुक्ता उपासते ॥१४॥
Hindi Translation
वे दृढ़ निश्चय वाले भक्तजन निरन्तर मेरे नाम और गुणों का कीर्तन करते हुए तथा मेरी प्राप्ति के लिये यत्न करते हुए और मुझको बार-बार प्रणाम करते हुए सदा मेरे ध्यान में युक्त होकर अन्य प्रेम से मेरी उपासना करते हैं ॥१४॥
English Translation
Constantly chanting My names and glories and striving for My realization, and bowing again and again to Me, those devotees of firm resolve, ever united with Me through meditation, worship Me with single-minded devotion. (9.14)

ज्ञानयज्ञेन चाप्नुवे यजन्तो मामुपासते। एकत्वेन पृथक्त्वेन बहुधा विश्वतोमुखम्॥१५॥
Hindi Translation
दूसरे ज्ञानयोगी मुझ निर्गुण-निराकार ब्रह्म का ज्ञान यज्ञ के द्वारा अभिन्न भाव से पूजन करते हुए भी मेरी उपासना करते हैं, और दूसरे मनुष्य बहुत प्रकार से स्थित मुझ विराट स्वरूप परमेश्वर की पृथक् भाव से उपासना करते हैं॥१५॥
English Translation
Other (who follow the path of Knowledge) betake themselves to Me through their offering of Knowledge, worshipping Me (in My absolute, formless aspect) with undivided devotion, and others worship Me in many different ways as the Virat (cosmic) form of the Supreme Lord.

अहं क्रतुर्हं यज्ञः स्वधा महमोषधम् | मन्त्रोऽहमहमेवाज्यमहमनिरहं हुतम् || १५ ||
Hindi Translation
क्रतु मैं हूँ, यज्ञ मैं हूँ, स्वधा मैं हूँ, औषधि मैं हूँ, मन्त्र मैं हूँ, घृत मैं हूँ, अग्नि मैं हूँ, और हवन रूप क्रिया भी मैं ही हूँ || १५ ||
English Translation
I am the Vedic ritual, I am the sacrifice, I am the offering to the departed; I am the herbage and foodgrains; I am the sacred formula, I am the clarified butter, I am the sacred fire, and I am verily the act of offering oblations into the fire.

पिताहमस्य जगतो माता धाता पितामहः | वेयं पवित्रमोंकार ऋक्वसाम यजुरेव च || १६ ||
Hindi Translation
इस सम्पूर्ण जगत् का धाता अर्थात् धारण करने वाला एवं कर्मों के फलको देने वाला, पिता, माता,
English Translation
I am the father of this world, the mother, the support, and the grandsire; I am the object of knowledge, the purifier, the syllable Om; I am the Rig, Sama, and Yajur Vedas.

गतिर्भर्ता प्रभुः साक्षी निवासः शरणं सुहृत् । प्रभवः प्रलयः स्थानं निधानं बीजमव्ययम् ॥१८॥
Hindi Translation
प्राप्त होने योग्य परम धाम, भरण-पोषण करने वाला, सबका स्वामी, शुभ-अशुभ का देखने वाला, सबका वासस्थान, शरण लेने योग्य, प्रत्यूपकार न चाहकर हित करने वाला, सबकी उत्पत्ति-प्रलय का हेतु, स्थिति का आधार, निधन और अविनाशी कारण भी मैं ही हूँ ॥१८॥
English Translation
I am the supreme goal, supporter, lord, witness, abode, refuge, wellwisher seeking no return, origin and end, resting-place, storehouse (to which all beings return at the time of universal destruction), and imperishable seed. (9.18)

तपाम्यहमहं वर्षं निर्गृह्णाम्युत्सृजामि च। अमृतं चैव मृत्युः च सदसच्चाहमर्जुन॥१९॥
Hindi Translation
मैं ही सूर्य रूप से तपता हूँ, वर्षा का आकर्षण करता हूँ और उसे बरसाता हूँ। हे अर्जुन! मैं ही अमृत और मृत्यु हूँ और सत-असत भी मैं ही हूँ॥१९॥
English Translation
I radiate heat as the sun, and hold back as well as send forth showers, Arjuna. I am immortality as well as death; even so I am being and non-being both.

त्रैविद्यां मां सोमपाः पूतपापा यज्ञैरिष्ट्वा स्वर्गं प्रार्थयन्ते। ते पुण्यमासाध्य सुरेन्द्रलोकमश्नुन्ति दिव्यान्दिवि देवभोगान्॥२०॥
Hindi Translation
तीनों वेदों में विधान किये हुए सकाम कर्मों को करने वाले, सोमरस को पीने वाले, पाप रहित पुरुष मुझको यज्ञों के द्वारा पूजकर स्वर्ग की प्राप्ति चाहते हैं; वे पुरुष अपने पुण्यों के फलरूप स्वर्गलोक को प्राप्त होकर स्वर्ग में दिव्य देवताओं के भोगों को भोगते हैं॥२०॥
English Translation
Those who perform sacrifices with faith, drinking soma and free from sin, desire to reach heaven by worshiping Me. They attain the world of the gods and enjoy divine pleasures there.
