प्रकृतिं पुरुषं चैव विद्ध्यनादी उभावपि | विकारांश्च गुणांश्चैव विद्धि प्रकृतिसंभवान्॥१९॥
Hindi Translation
प्रकृति और पुरुष, इन दोनों को ही तू अनादि जान। और राग-द्वेषादि विकारों को तथा त्रिगुणात्मक सम्पूर्ण पदार्थों को भी प्रकृति से ही उत्पन्न जान॥१९॥
English Translation
Prakrti and Purusa, know both these as beginningless, and know all modifications such as likes and dislikes etc. and all objects constituted of the three Gunas as born of Prakrti.

कार्यकरणकर्तृत्वे हेतुः प्रकृतिरुच्यते | पुरुषः सुखदुःखानां भोक्तृत्वे हेतुरुच्यते॥२०॥
Hindi Translation
कार्य और कारण को उत्पन्न करने में हेतु प्रकृति कही जाती है और जीवात्मा सुख-दुःखों के भोकापन में अर्थात् भोगने में हेतु कहा जाता है॥२०॥
English Translation
Prakrti is said to be responsible for bringing forth the evolutes and the instruments; while the individual soul is declared to be the cause of experience of joys and sorrows.
