यज्ञे तपसि दाने च स्थिति: सदिति चोच्यते । कर्म चैव तदर्थं यं सदित्येवाभिधीयते ॥ २७ ॥

तथा यज्ञ, तप और दान में जो स्थिति है, वह भी ‘सत्’ इस प्रकार कही जाती है और उस परमात्मा के

And the state in sacrifice, austerity, and charity is also called 'Sat', and that Supreme Being is thus designated.

अश्रद्धया हुतं दत्तं तपस्तपं कृतं च यत् | असिद्ध्युक्ते पार्थ न च तत्प्रेयः नो इह ॥२८॥
Hindi Translation
हे अर्जुन ! बिना श्रद्धा के किया हुआ हवन, दिया हुआ दान एवं तपा हुआ तप और जो कुछ भी किया हुआ शुभ कर्म है—वह समस्त ‘असत्’—इस प्रकार कहा जाता है; इसलिए वह न तो इस लोक में लाभदायक है और न मरने के बाद ही ।।२८।।
English Translation
O Arjuna! Sacrifice performed without faith, charity given without faith, austerity performed without faith, and any action done without faith are all said to be 'Asat' (unreal); such actions are neither beneficial in this world nor after death.
