काम्यानां कर्मणां त्यागं संन्यासं कवयो विदुः । सर्वकर्मफलत्यागं प्राहुः त्यागं विचक्षणाः ॥२॥
Hindi Translation
श्रीभगवान बोले - कितने ही पण्डितजन तो काम्यकर्मों के त्याग को संन्यास समझते हैं तथा दूसरे विचार कुशल पुरुष सब कर्मों के फल के त्याग को त्याग कहते हैं ॥२॥
English Translation
Sri Bhagavan said: Some sages understand Samnyasa as the giving up of all actions motivated by desire; and other thinkers declare that Tyaga consists in relinquishing the fruit of all actions.

त्याज्यं दोषवदित्येकं कर्म ग्राहुमर्जुनिषिणः । यज्ञदानतपःकर्म न त्याज्यमिति चापरे ॥३॥
Hindi Translation
कई एक विद्वान् ऐसा कहते हैं कि कर्म मात्र दोष युक्त हैं, इसलिए त्यागने के योग्य हैं और दूसरे विद्वान् यह कहते हैं कि यज्ञ, दान और तपस्व कर्म त्यागने योग्य नहीं है ॥३॥
English Translation
Some wise men declare that all actions contain a measure of evil, and are therefore worth giving up, while others say that acts of sacrifice, charity and penance are not to be given up.
