Sanskrit
यामिमां पुष्पितां वाचं प्रवदन्त्यविपश्चितः । वेदवादरता: पार्थ नान्यदस्तीति वादिन: ॥४२॥
Hindi Translation
हे अर्जुन! जो अविवेकीजन वेदों के अतिरिक्त कुछ भी नहीं मानते, वे वेदों की पुष्पित वाणी को कहते हैं।॥ ४२॥
English Translation
Arjuna, those unwise ones who are devoted to the letter of the Vedas and argue that there is nothing beyond heaven, utter flowery speech. (42)

कामात्मान: स्वर्गपरा जन्मकर्मफलप्रदाम् । क्रियाविशेषबहुलां भोगैश्वर्यगतिं प्रति ॥४३॥
Hindi Translation
ऐसे कामात्मा लोग स्वर्ग और जन्मकर्म के फलों के पीछे पड़े रहते हैं। वे अनेक प्रकार के कर्मों में लगे रहते हैं और भोगों और ऐश्वर्य की प्राप्ति के लिए प्रयत्न करते हैं।॥ ४३॥
English Translation
Those who are full of desires, whose goal is heaven, who cling to rebirth and the fruits of action, who delight in various ritualistic works aimed at enjoyment and power. (43)
