विषया विनिवर्तन्ते निराहारस्य देहिनः। रसवर्जं रसोपस्य परं दृष्ट्वा निवर्तते॥५९॥
Hindi Translation
इन्द्रियों के द्वारा विषयों को ग्रहण न करने वाले पुरुष के भी केवल विषय तो निवृत्त हो जाते हैं, परंतु उनमें रहने वाली आसक्ति निवृत्त नहीं होती॥५९॥
English Translation
Objects of the senses turn away from the abstinent embodied soul; having tasted the sweetness of the sense-objects, he turns away from them.

यतोऽपि कौन्तेय पुरुषस्य विपश्चितः | इन्द्रियाणि प्रमाथिनी हरन्ति प्रसभं मनः || ६० ||
Hindi Translation
हे अर्जुन ! आसक्ति का नाश न होने के कारण ये प्रमथन स्वभाव वाली इन्द्रियाँ यत करते हुए बुद्धिमान् पुरुष के मन को बलात्कार से हर लेती हैं ॥ ६० ॥
English Translation
Turbulent by nature, the senses even of a wise man, who is practising self-control, forcibly carry away his mind, Arjuna.
